Great show. LF were on fire, as was Linda Ronstadt and her band - led by Andrew Gold. I was in the 6th row, left of center.

At least Lowell thinks so at about 4 minutes into Skin it Back. Hah!
A great sounding SBD. Like Waiting For Columbus without the horns. The Feat are really the master of their game at this point in 1975. Wickedly good funky rock and roll that runs like a Swiss watch. Possibly the tightest rhythm section that ever existed, at least in the 70's.
Like the Dead, Little Feat weren't pretentious. No glam, no big hair, no dramatic showing off (well, sometimes Bobby LOL). They just came to play, period.
My picks for 1975 are this show and the Fox show on 5/23. Highly recommended !!
cheers,
Dr. Flashback :-)

I was at this show! Great to find it on LMA. It was my 1st Feat show. Got to see a few with Lowell.

Now this is one of my first stops when my time machine is finished!!!! Charlie Daniels used to jam hard, and to follow an act like Little Feat, especially on this night, they had to do just that.I'd like to hear that set, too.I know that Charlie doesn't have a big tape trading community, but if anyone has this I'd love to hear it.Back to this set. Tripe Face Boogie is always hot,and the Dixie Chicken is short enough for me.I wish they were known for another tune besides that. 5 stars all around!!!!! Sound,Setlist,& Performance!!!!!!

Not only was I at this show, I made this recording. Little Feat opened for the Charlie Daniels Band. The tape was made on a Sony 153 and was plugged right into the soundboard. This has always been one of my favorites.

I haven't pinned it down yet, but my guess is if they were on a double bill it was with the Doobie Brothers. They toured with them in Europe in 1975, see Paris Olympia show on Archive.

One of the finest Little Feat live recordings you're ever likely to hear! The band's so awesomely tight that at times you'd forget that this is not a studio recording. Solid musicianship all round; Lowell George, especially, is on fire here. Excellent audio quality, though a bit light on bass. Definitely for keeps!

Great show! Crisp sound. I've gotten hitched back in after I forgot how much this band ripped in the early to mid 70s. By far one of the cleaner and crisp recordings on the archive.

But did no one notice the skillful edit, Dixie Chicken has no final verse, and the song slides seemlessly into Tripe Face Boogie. After starting to sift through the archives and revisit the Feat, was I miffed to miss their show Sunday Sept 11 at the Norwalk Oyster Fest.

This is one of the highest quality recordings I have downloaded. It might be my equipment but it seems that the treble reponse here is great. Very clear and very tight. The show is almost exactly an hour long so they must have shared the stage with another band. This was a tough act to follow too!

If you are looking for a terrific recording from the mid seventies, this is it. Sound quality is excellent in .shn form. This one comes from the sound board, so its clear sailing! Already a favorite of mine. Lowell and the boys give a spirited performance from beautiful Rochester, Yew Nork. A must have!!!

I am at Bport right now (not a student though-that was many years ago)...the only thing I could find about this show is that "down below the borderline" is the version from this show on the "Ripe Tomatoes" cd...disc 1...very silky show, saw many a show at his venue growing up.

Love this show...had the tape for years now and love getting it on disc. I believe they opened for someone, but haven't been able to figure out who (note Paul's comment "for all you Little Feat fans out there"). This has been edited down to cut down on some of the stage banter. I'd love to get the unedited version on disc. The interplay between the band is hilarious. If anyone has Brockport St. from 1978, please post!

I've never heard Lowell's voice sound better! Definately better than it was on "Waiting for Columbus".

but not as long, did we only get part of the show? Sounds like we got the 1st set only. Not that I am complaining. Regardless, this is a clean and crisp sbd. Excellent energy and performances. Well worth sharing. Thanks.
